Tuition: $80/$75*. Materials fee: $10

This course will be an introduction to creating symmetrical and colorful mandala images. A mandala for our purposes can be defined as a circular image organized around a unifying center. Class will include simple step-by-step instruction on how to draw mandalas. You will leave with your own custom acrylic painting. Come prepared to learn simple techniques you can use to create complex and infinitely variable patterns.


My painting, Up In the Air, has been selected to be in the 20th Annual Juried Summer Exhibition at AVA Gallery in Lebanon, NH.

Opening reception June 21, 5 – 7pm.
Exhibit runs from June 21 – July 26, 2013.

The Sketchbook Project

Last year I discovered and participated in The Sketchbook Project and I just signed up to do it again. You can see my digitized book here: My 2013 sketchbook.

The Sketchbook Project is a global, crowd-sourced art project and interactive, traveling exhibition of handmade books. Our community is made up of over 75,000 people, and our permanent collection at Brooklyn Art Library holds over 26,000 sketchbooks from 135 countries around the globe.



Finding Your New Normal: Getting Healthy One New Habit at a Time

This workshop will help you get started on incorporating healthy habits into your daily life and reinforce those you already know. I’ll share tips to help you set goals and create successful strategies for weight loss. Part of the workshop will be a round table discussion with others who have lost 50, 75, and over 100 pounds! They will inspire you and explain how they did it. You’ll get solid, practical advice on nutrition and fitness that you can use right away. We’ll also delve into the mental and physical road blocks you may encounter and we’ll spend time helping you plan for your specific needs and lifestyle. By the end of the seminar, you’ll emerge with dozens of ideas for living a healthier lifestyle and have useful tools that cater directly to your personal situation. Space is limited!
