Tip of the Week: Your Past, Present and Future Self

This may sound strange but I often motivate myself to do something, whether it be a workout, an errand, a chore, or something on my To Do list, by saying, “Just do it, your future self will thank you.”

Then, if I end up accomplishing that task I take a second to thank my past self for having had to do the work.

Reminding my selves (past, present, or future) that one of us is going to have to do it helps get me started. It doesn’t work all the time but sometimes it’s all I (we) need.
